R.I.P. Eddie Rabbitt
Eddie Rabbitt was an American singer and songwriter who was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 27th, 1941. He had numerous chart-topping hits, including “Drivin’ My Life Away” “Every Which Way but Loose”, “Someone Could Lose a Heart Tonight”, “Suspicions”, and today’s song choice.
Throughout his career, he received numerous accolades, including a 1982 Grammy Award for “Best Country Vocal Performance, Male”.
On this very day, May 7th 1998, Edward Thomas Rabbitt died from lung cancer (at 56 years of age). In memory of his passing, exactly 26 years ago today, I’ve chosen a song that topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart (in the U.S.).
